Transcript Emailing

Allows you to design a format for your transcript emails. Each email format has an Email Spec ID. You can create several Email Spec IDs.

Add/Edit an email Spec ID

Select the Email Spec ID want to modify and click Edit or click New to create a new one.

Name

Name for the email format.

Sender Email Address

Email address of the sender.

Email Subject

Text that will display in the email Subject field.

Label for Chat ID This is a reference number used in the email transcript. When there is a Chat ID in the email transcript, users will see the message, "This is your Chat ID."
Custom Text/Disclaimer This is an optional field where clients can enter additional text or instructions. This is useful for things like disclaimers or privacy statements.
Title The title is a description of the email itself, such as "Your TouchCommerce Chat Transcript."
Sender Alias An alias for the sender name.
Mail Server The email server where emails will be sent from, if different from the default TouchCommerce server.

Adding an Email Header or Footer

You can configure a header or footer that will display on all of your email transcripts.

  1. Use the radio button to use an image or text/HTML.
  2. Browse to select an image file.
  3. Select a file name from the list to view a preview.
  4. Click Save.
