Opener Scripts

Allows you to create and manage the content of your opener script linesClosed A line of script that an agent can send to a customer during a chat session..

  • Standard tab - Displays the text of the select opener. Use the buttons to manage and edit.
  • Text tab - Displays a text mode editor, where you can input text directly.

Opener Scripts are the first script lines the customer will see when an agent is assigned to a chat. They typically provide basic information to the customer, such as the agent name and why he is being assigned to the chat.

  • To change a script, select it in the table and click Edit.
  • To create a script from scratch, click New.

To create a new script:

  1. Click New to display the Manage Opener Script page.
  2. Enter a name for your opener script and click New.
  3. Click on the New Script line and click Edit. The Edit Script pop-up displays.
  4. Type in your script line and check Active, then click OK.
  5. Your new script line displays in the table.
