Widget reference

The Rich Media widget engine supports displaying rich messages that provide a more interactive digital experience for end users. The engine is bundled with a suite of powerful widgets. If you are using a chat-based persona, you can add Rich Media elements for chat interactions so that users engage with the message content.

This section describes the configuration required to set up the Rich Media widgets. The widgets are organized into three categories:

This section includes the following types of information about each widget:

Information Description

Control properties

Properties for a particular rich media type.

Note: These properties are in addition to the general properties specified in Widget properties.

Context properties

Properties that define the visual appearance of the item. While this can be defined in your application’s CSS, sometimes it is more appropriate to define styling in the actual content.

Evaluation properties

Properties for interactive rich media that define the reference values entered by the user. They evaluate conditions in guards, and send information through a datapass.

JSON examples Examples for each widget type. Although they are ready to use, they do not have transition logic, so they will not send information back to the agent. To configure these examples to be fully interactive, see Transitions.
Image examples

Each example includes a rendered version of this JSON using the HTML Rich Media Engine.
