Freeze chat tab position

Agents have the ability to freeze the position of chat tabs for the duration of their chats. By default, all chat tabs automatically shift to the left-most position. The Chat tabs behave in a similar way to browser tabs, shifting to the left as tabs are closed.

Agents can control the way chat tabs display in Agent Desktop by using the Freeze tab position for duration of chat check box in the My Settings window.

When an agent enables the Freeze tab position for duration of chat in a given session, the position of each chat tab remains fixed for the duration of the chat. This setting persists across agent log-in sessions.

Now, as you close the chats, the tabs do not move to the left and continue to display from the position in which they were opened.

Also, when you open new chats, the tabs take the first empty slot to fill the gaps.
