termchar

This property specifies the tone used to specify the end of a DTMF sequence. The termination tone is optional. If specified, it must be entered by the user either:

  • Within the period of time set by the interdigittimeout value, if the tone sequence already entered does not necessarily terminate the DTMF grammar.
  • Within the period of time set by the termtimeout value, if the tone sequence already entered does terminate the DTMF grammar. If termtimeout is set to 0, a terminal character is not allowed after a tone sequence representing a final path through the grammar. This tone and any other tones entered after the terminal sequence are buffered for the next recognition state.

Note: If entered, the termination tone is not included in the string interpreted by the grammar. The default value is #.
