Built-in grammar types
This section describes the built-in grammar types that Voice Platform supports.
Each language supported by the Voice Platform recognition service comes with predefined built-in speech and DTMF grammars. You can activate these grammars individually, import them into other grammars, or use them in the type attribute of a <field> element (see ).
The built-in grammars available vary for each language. A list of built-ins for each supported language can be found in the Language Supplement documents for the languages you install. The Language Supplement documents appear in:

Note: You can extend the built-in grammar framework to include new built-in grammar classes.
Voice Platform also supports standard universal commands for each language. For more information, see universals.
