Environment variables

The Voice Platform installation creates environment variables. In most cases, the default values are not changed.

Note: In the default values shown below, the long path form is provided for clarity, where appropriate. For some components the path associated with the Windows environment variable is converted from the long path form to 8.3 or short path form. For example, the %NUANCE% environment variable is set to NUANCE=C:\PROGRA~2\COMMON~1\Nuance\Common and points to the x86 Core Services installation path (C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Nuance\Common). Linux environment variables point to both the x86 and x86_64 (AMD64) installation path. Windows separates files and registry entries based on word size (32-bit versus 64-bit), whereas Linux does not.
