Supporting multilingual text-to-speech
Multilingual TTS is also very easy—all the complexity is handled by the TTS component of the Nuance Speech Server. All you need to do is install the appropriate voices on your Speech Server hosts and in your application, specify the correct locale in the <prompt> element using the xml:lang attribute. The text will be synthesized with the voice that was downloaded and installed.
Nuance recommends you install all required voices on all Speech Server hosts to avoid potential load-balancing runtime errors.
Note: All URLs specified with <audio src=”...”/> must use only ASCII characters. Non-ASCII characters like accented letters are not supported.
