Result Sub-Codes

Some reports include a result sub-code as well as a result code. The sub-code gives you more granular information about the reason for the result.

IMPORTANT: Text message (SMS) dispatches do not have result sub-codes.

Result sub-codes:

Sub-code Description Replacement
ACCEPTD A temporary positive acknowledgment that your message has been submitted to a carrier for delivery.  
ARTMOUT The consumer retrieved an inbound alert but the Alert Engine did not respond before the media server timed out.  
ARUNUSED The consumer retrieved an inbound alert but hung up before we were able to play the message.  
BADACCT There was no account name in the e-mail address.  
BADCNTRY The country code was not valid.  
BADCTRYZIP The postal code was not valid for the specified country.  
BADDOM The e-mail domain was not valid.  
BADHOURS Too many hour types were specified.  
BADMEDIA The media type was not valid.  
BADMEDSEQ There was no media sequence number or the number specified was not valid.  
BADSEQ Bad sequence.  
BADSTATE The state code was not valid.  
BADSTCNTRY The state code was not valid for the specified country.  
BADSTCRYZP The postal code was not valid for the specified country and state.  
BADSTZIP The postal code was not valid for the specified state.  
BADSZ The phone number was not 10 digits. (Deprecated: Alerts that are cancelled for this reason now have the sub-code LISALGINVL.) LISALGINVL
BADTZ The time zone given or derived for the alert was not valid.  
BADZIP The state code was not provided; the postal code was provided but it was not valid so the state could not be determined using the postal code.  
BDEMAILFMT The format of the e-mail address was not valid.  
BLKLSTADDR The e-mail address was on a list of invalid addresses, such as none@example.com.  
BLKLSTDOM The e-mail domain was on a list of invalid domains.  
BUFFRD Failed delivery and attempting a retry.  
CANLIST The alert was cancelled because the list ended.  
CANREL The alert was cancelled through a cancel-related alert function.  
CANTRKID The alert was cancelled by tracking ID.  
CHOURTYPE The client hour type code was not valid.  
CLNTIDERR The client ID created an error.  
DELIVRD Delivered to handset.  
DATAERR Could not recover from an unknown processing condition.  
DNCDMA The phone number was on the Direct Marketing Association do-not-call list.  
ECPADET The result was determined through our ECPA process.  
ECPALARSET The ECPA process initially detected a live answer and requested a keypress, but then did not detect one. Depending on factors such as whether we continue to detect noise or silence on the line and the configured handling of unknown conditions, we may then hang up, leave an answering-machine message, or finally connect with a live answer. The result code depends on the action we take, but this is the result sub-code in each case.  
ECSCA2 We detected the specified duration of silence on the line, then did a line test, and found the line still active. ** “Keypress Only”  
ECSA2 We detected the specified duration of silence on the line, then did a line test, and found the line was no longer active. ** “Keypress Only”  
ECSF2 We detected the specified duration of silence on the line, then did a line test, but got an error testing the line. ** “Keypress Only”  
ECSF3 We did not detect the specified duration of silence on the line, then did a line test, but got an error testing the line. ** “Keypress Only”  
ECSCA3 We did not detect the specified duration of silence on the line, then did a line test, and found the line still active. ** “Keypress Only”  
ECSA3 We did not detect the specified duration of silence on the line, then did a line test, and found the line was no longer active. ** “Keypress Only”  
ECSA3 We did not detect the specified duration of silence on the line, then did a line test, but got an error testing the line. ** “Keypress Only”  
EXPIRED Expired before the message could be delivered.  
FILTER The alert was not sent because the phone number matched a dispatch filter.  
HOURTYPE The consumer hour type code was not valid.  
INDILAND The alert was cancelled because the phone number matched the INDILAND (Indiana land-line number) filter. (Deprecated: Alerts that are cancelled for this reason now have the sub-code FILTER.) FILTER
LHOURTYPE The location hour type code was not valid.  
LISALGINVL The LIS determined that the phone number pattern was not valid. This includes an unknown country calling code in an international phone number.  
LISDBINVL The LIS* did not find the phone number in its database of valid, active phone numbers.  
LISNOTZ The LIS* could not determine a time zone for the phone number.  
MEDIAEX The alert expired because the media server could not dispatch it prior to the scheduled window date.  
NDCA The alert was cancelled because the phone number matched the NDCA (Northern District of California mobile number) filter. (Deprecated: Alerts that are cancelled for this reason now have the sub-code FILTER.) FILTER
NLA No longer applicable.  
NOADDR There was no media address.  
NOBIND Bind unavailable.  
NOCNTRYVOC There was no vocabulary for the specified country.  
NODTRMTZ Could not determine the time zone for the phone number.  
NOQUEUEREQ No dispatch queue could meet the requirements for the alert.  
NOTDIG The phone number was not all digits. (Deprecated: Alerts that are cancelled for this reason now have the sub-code LISALGINVL.) LISALGINVL
NOWIN There were no available calling windows prior to expiration (SLA was not a factor).  
NOWINR There were no available calling windows prior to expiration (SLA was not a factor). This differs from NOWIN in that this no-window condition could have also been influenced by the “limit calling hours” functionality  
NPANXX The NPA/NXX (area code/prefix) combination or the NPA (area code) alone was not valid.  
PROFILEERR Profile error.  
REJCTD Message rejected by deliverer.  
ROUTEERR Number not routable. No not retry.  
SCHEDTYPE The schedule type was not valid.  
SYSERR System error.  
TMPUNAVAIL Throttle error should be retried.  
TFNOTZ The toll-free phone number did not specify a time zone.  
UNKNOWN An unknown error condition occurred.  
UNSUPCNTRY We do not support phoning the specified country.  
USLAND The alert was cancelled because the phone number was a United States land-line number. (Deprecated: Alerts that are cancelled for this reason now have the sub-code FILTER.) FILTER
USWIRE The alert was cancelled because the phone number was a United States mobile number. (Deprecated: Alerts that are cancelled for this reason now have the sub-code FILTER.) FILTER
WINFULL The alert expired because the SLA volume in the available calling windows reached its maximum before the expiration time of the alert.  

**This result is only possible when the Answering Machine Detection Type property is set to “Keypress Only”.
