Views

In the Report Creator, you can design reports in each view:

• Query Design—Use this view to create chart and report templates. The Query Design pane displays in the results panel (which gives you a larger area for designing templates).
• Interactive— Use this view to create chart and report templates.The Layout canvas displays in the results panel (where it shows a preview of the output).
• Document—Use this view to create a compound document or to add text, images, reports, and charts to a single template. The Document Layout Canvas displays in the results panel.

Use control panel buttons to toggle between Query and Interactive views, or enter Document view. If you change from Chart to Report or vice versa, you create a new template.
