Installed components

You can run components on any host in your network:

• Nuance License Manager: You must run the License Manager one at least one host. For redundancy, you can set up more than one License Manager.
• Nuance speech products: You can run speech products on one or more hosts, and you can run multiple instances of each. This combination allows you to deploy a redundant architecture that distributes load over as many hosts and processes as needed.
• Nuance Management Station: Optional tool for configuring, deploying, administering, and managing voice services.

Nuance Speech Product components:

Components	Description
Nuance resource manager:	Load balancing software. Required for Dragon Voice. Not used for other components. For redundancy, you can install more than one resource manager.
Dragon Voice	Performs speech recognition while supporting open-dialog, virtual assistant applications and other natural language capabilities. Components: Krypton recognition engine — Enables raw recognition and open-dialog (large vocabulary continuous speech) recognition. Natural Language Engine (NLE) — Provides semantic processing and meaning extraction. Nuance Text Processing Engine (NTpE) — Provides a framework for tokenization and normalization of text. Natural Language Processing service (NLP service) — Manages Dragon Voice components. Nuance Resource Manager — Optimizes Dragon Voice resources by managing traffic and service requests.
Nuance Recognizer	Performs speech recognition using constrained grammars, built-in grammars, and natural language models.
Nuance Vocalizer	Performs text-to-speech synthesis and audio file fetching.
