Typically, the value is the name of the company that built the application.
This parameter and application_name are most useful for service provider environments, which typically host several companies and business applications. These parameters ensure that all the applications and companies are represented and segregated in the call logs. (Since business applications could have the same name, the unique combination of Company and Application names ensures that the correct log data is associated with the correct company.)
