Specifies the user agent name presented to the web server when HTTP requests are made.

Value

String

DEFAULT: NSS-MRCP/6.1

How to set

If using the Management Station, set on the Speech Server service. If not using Management Station, set in an NSS configuration file (user-NSSxx.txt).

Usage

Rarely changed.

Speech Server contains an inet component for fetching data through the Internet using HTTP/1.1. This is used to fetch audio files, normally either recordings of utterances to be recognized for a second time or saved audio from whole-call recording.

Note: Speech Server may also do an audio fetch if an audio file of a supported type has a non-standard file extension. See Fetching and caching files.

For more information, see Controlling Internet fetches and caching.
