Working with Vocalizer
Vocalizer includes several mechanisms to help you refine and tune your application’s audio whether you generate dynamic prompts with TTS or use a library of prompt recordings (or a combination of both). For example, by enabling you to:
- Manage languages and voices.
- Fetch audio from web servers or local file systems many types of data including digital audio recordings, user dictionaries and rulesets, ActivePrompt databases, and so on, described in Internet fetch support.
- Monitor performance. For example, using error messages and diagnostic logging, as well as application call logging.
Improving performance
Vocalizer offers a set of additional mechanisms to intervene in the automatic pronunciation process by means of control sequences specified within the input text or external information files that override the internal system behavior. For details, see Improving performance.
Testing
When developing an application with synthesized prompts, listen to samples to identify areas that need tuning. For some suggestions to follow, see Improving performance.
