swirec_waveform_logging_max_channels
Maximum number of channels allowed to save waveforms (recordings of speech from callers).
Value |
Integer from -1 to the maximum number of simultaneous channels. |
Default |
-1 (no maximum) By default, all sessions write waveforms when waveform logging is enabled. |
How to set |
In Management Station set on the Nuance recognition service. If not using Management Station, set in a Recognizer configuration file (User-nrsxx.xml). |
Usage |
Useful for controlling the cost of waveform logging on a recognition host. |
Performance |
Lower values reduce CPU cycles and disk storage. |
Disadvantages:
- This parameter reduces the total amount of data that can be used for analysis. For example, when you analyze calls you will not be able to listen to the calls that were not saved.
- When this parameter is used, active tenants with many or very long utterances could use up most or all of the logging channels, and make it difficult for less active tenants to log their utterance waveforms.
