Frequently used by system administrators during the initial installation of the system. |
When the file reaches the maximum size, the system relabels it as the backup and starts a new file. The maximum file size supported is 2 GB. The diagnostic log file will roll over at this size even if DiagMaxFileSizeKB is set to a larger value.
This file rolls over once, so there is at most only one backup at a time. See Setting the maximum size for log file rollover.
