Create messages (MOD projects only)

Before you can create messages, Nuance Professional Services creates the project where your messages will reside, and it customizes this project for you. For example, Nuance Professional Services customizes email templates for your enterprise branding.

Note: You can create and modify message content in MOD projects only. In standard projects, Nuance creates the message content according to the requirements of the client. To make changes to standard projects, contact your Nuance representative.

The workflow for creating and editing messages in an MOD project is typically like this:

  1. A Composer project stores your messages. To access your messages, you open the project with those messages for editing. For detailed instructions, see Open a project for editing (MOD projects only).

  2. In the project, you open the Message Tree, where you select the message and channel to edit. You can also create new messages and organize your messages in folders. For detailed instructions, see Manage messages (MOD projects only).

  3. You use the Message Editor to create and edit the message content. The Message Editor works the same way for voice, SMS, and email messages. For detailed instructions, see Create and edit message content (MOD projects only).

    • You can use two toolbars to create and edit your content. These are described in Work with the Message Editor.

    • You can create and edit content in multiple languages. This is described in Message languages.

    • You can specify optional barge-in settings, which determine whether a consumer can interrupt a voice message. These are described in Barge-in settings.

    • You can manage audio files for voice messages from the Assets dialog box, which you open from the Message Editor. This dialog box is described in Manage audio files.

After you create your messages, you are ready to publish, preview, and send them, as described in Publish, preview, and send messages .
