Language groups
Nuance Recognizer as a Service does not use a single URI for each geographic region. Instead, the URI you use to invoke NRaaS services determines both the region where recognition takes place and the language group used for recognition.
Language groups are groupings of language packs available in an instance of Nuance Recognizer as a Service. These groups are organized and deployed according to a region’s dialect requirements, non-primary languages, and geographic proximity. Each URI allows you to use NRaaS services in the languages within that URI’s language group.
Using language groups optimizes recognitions for multilingual applications. For best performance, when calling the NRaaS API, use the URI for the language group that meets your geographic and language requirements.
